LeBron James' star power is helping the Cleveland Cavaliers improve in the standings and at the bank.
The Cavs, who lead the National Basketball Association's Central Division and are on the verge of being sold, have signed deals with 21 new corporate partners since the end of last season.
Also this year, 10 existing sponsors have increased their partnership levels with the club that ranks eighth in attendance among the 30 NBA teams. Just two seasons ago, the Cavaliers ranked last.
The team has more than 60 corporate partners and newly generated revenue in the millions, though each partnership varies in value.
James, who's averaging 25 points a game, is credited with much of the new corporate interest.
